Easy to put on means easy for him to kick off!

I took my son into the shoe store to be measured for his first pair of walking shoes when I purchased this pair. That was when I discovered that his feet were fairly wide, and these shoes seemed to fit him pretty well. They are pretty expensive since he has just about outgrown them in less than 2 months. It would also make more sense if they were washable because babies feet do sweat a lot more.
These shoes could use better/larger velcro straps. My son prefers to go barefoot, and anytime he is left sitting with his feet dangling he will kick at least one shoe off. If you are out and about this will leave you hunting for the missing shoe. Other than that, it seems true to width, true to size, he seems to be comfortable enough when he is walking in them (although it could use a little more ventilation due to the lack of washability), and maybe it could be offered in more neutral colors for that price.

perfect first shoes

My grandmother and my mother advised that my son's shoes had to come from Stride Rite. I have officially made my first purchase and can honestly say they are worth the money.
My son has been toddling for about 3 weeks now and had absolutely no desire to put shoes on his feet. The SRT Soft Motion Enzo were super easy to put on, which means no manhandling the poor little guy's foot and after about two minutes he forgot they were on his feet and he goes. They are really light weight and the sole is not to thick to mess him up. The color is every neutral as well.

Narrow and expensive, but cute and comfortable

I painstakingly went through the sizing process with the online chart, and luckily I decided to order a shoe wider than the measurement indicated. I ordered a wide width (the size chart said to order a medium width), and the velcro barely fits around my son's foot to attach to the shoe. The shoe is adorable, comfortable, and easy for my son to walk in, but I think the price is a bit too high for a child's shoe that won't fit more than a couple of months. Not sure if we'll buy Stride Rite shoes again.

Great but wish Straps were longer

These fit great without socks. But with socks I guess he would need an extra wide? Once we put socks on him we can't close the straps very well. So right now he's cruising in them without socks. Not a big deal in NC where we live for this month. Will have to find something else for next month.

A little expensive

I like stride rite but I still believe the shoes are a bit expensive especially since children's feet grow so fast. I know your paying for the name but $40.00 for a pair is toddler shoes is too much. After the first pair I don't buy them anymore.

Cute Shoe but wouldn't recommend for wide feet

Even though these shoes come in wide width (which I bought). The straps are not long enough and come off. If your child has a high instep or fat feet I would not recommend buying these. They run true to size and would be a great shoe for a size M foot without a high instep. They are light weight and easy for an early walker to walk in.

Velcro is easy to open

My one year old son constantly opens and closes his Velcro sneakers. They fit him well. He loves wearing them. Now I just need to get him to walk in them.

Cute but straps are annoying

These are cute shoes and my son doesn't appear bothered by the fit. The only reason I would NOT recommend these shoes is because the velcro straps are too short and they come undone frequently. It is so annoying.

I have purchased several pairs of shoes (from different retailers) for my 11 month old, however, this is the first pair that fit perfectly, were not too bulky, provided flexible support, great traction AND helped him get up and moving rather than hindering his mobility as others have in the past. GREAT shoe! Very easy to get onto his foot as well, major plus in the frantic mornings!

Try & try again

I am a new grandfather that never had children. My step daughter & her husband had a beautiful baby boy named Kipton. I am from the Men's clothing business and I figured I could guess Kipton's size without any problems. WRONG! I started with a 3 1/2 wide, too small.
I called the OKC Quail Springs store and Stephanie and Tiffany took great care of my exchange, by the way I live in Lawton, OK. Sure enough, the 4 1/2 wide was almost too small, so I called them and once again, they took great care of me and sent the 5 wide which finally worked. The sales people in that store could not have taken better care of anyone than they did me.
As for the shoe, it is very flexible which gives this 1 year old very active boy an easier situation now that he is starting to walk. The little velcro straps make it very easy to tighten the shoe on his wide foot.

I tried so many different kinds of shoes on my son and not one of them worked he always did the same thing, he would try to walk and get mad when he couldn't so he would take them off and then get up and walk. I walked by the stride rite store and saw the early walks shoes and put them on my son and started talking to the associate and when I turn around he was half way out of the store he was walking great in the shoes and he loves them
