The Gulliver is a very cute looking shoe; however, look inside and it isn't lined for cold weather wear. It fits very narrow and extremely difficult to put on my son's foot. I took the pair back to the store and the sales associate said that's how they fit. Really? You mean you have to jam their foot into the shoe? We are not Stride Rite fans. Their quality has deteriorated since being bought out by the company that owns Payless then sold again. We buy their shoes because our sons have wide feet. We will definitely move on to other brands once their feet mature.

Looks better on the outside than the inside

The construction of the OUTSIDE of this shoe is fantastic, with a rubber section on the bottom half (or around the edges of the soles) to keep it a little bit more water resistant; and then a nice leather mid-section around the arch and base of the foot; and then nice elasticized laces, and good velcro strap up around the ankle; there is a little bit of faux fur lining around the top of the shoe, but the picture makes it looks like that's the lining on the whole inside of the shoe (which is NOT true); there is actually NO lining to keep warm and dry, no cushioning, no faux fur or anything - it's just like the inside of a thin basic leather walking shoe. So the inside is virtually void of any positive features, even though the outside looks like it would be a great boot. Overall it's fine for a casual boot or rough-play shoe, but it's nothing as good the picture and description make it seem like it.

My son started to wear it from 19 months as winter shoes. They are great both indoor and outdoor( for short time) during winter. And very easy to fit in if have it 1/2 size larger. They are soft and comfortable, my son loves it. Every time when I tried to change him with snow boots before going outdoor, he cried and asked for his SRT Gulliver. Very satisfied with the purchase!!!

My son loves these shoes and they are absolutely adorable. People comment on them all the time. As soon as he tried them on in the store he started running around, so they must be comfortable. Only thing I would mention is that these are a little harder to get on than some of his other Stride Rite shoes. The saleswoman said the elastic would stretch and make it easier, but after several weeks it is still a bit of a squeeze to get his foot in. Once his feet are in they are great!

Bought as a winter boot, very cute & fits well, but not insulated throughout, just the warm cuff at the ankle. Very waterproof, but I can't send him out in the snow very long before his feet get cold.

My 3 year old son loves to put these boots on. They are tough to put on and take several tries to get his heel into the boot. I would still recommend even though tough to put on.

Perfect size!! I actually called at 8pm on the weekend to order and they had a customer service rep that answered right away to answer my questions. Super fast shipping. Stride Rite you can never go wrong with their shoes!!!
