I love stride rite and have never had an issue with a shoe for my son since he has been wearing them. But this shoe leaves a mark on his lower leg by his foot. It seems like the tongue of the shoe is rubbing when he bends his foot to step. Other than that, the shoe fits great and he hasn't complained about any discomfort. I wish I would have went with the red though...the blue is really dark and hard to match up with his clothes :)

This is the 2nd pair I've purchased (in a larger size). The design is simple & stylish. The material is durable & can withstand the multiple scrubbings post-play (caked on mud is common here!). They are easy to get on & take off & always fit great out of the box with no need to break them in.

We just bought our second pair of these shoes, they are the only shoes my 23 month old will wear. If I try to put different shoes on him, he cries and says "no, shoes!" Until I get these shoes and put them on. His first pair lasted from November until just a few days ago, with daily use. . They were getting too small and starting to wear a bit, so we bought the next size. Stride rite is amazing, I am going to order him some sandals and see if we can get him to take his Xavier's off, but I doubt it!

My son has fat little baby feet. These wides fit perfect and are so cute. They are durable and match almost everything. Took them on vacation to San Diego and they were wonderful.

I ordered this shoe for my one year old, and they are great. I ordered the extra wide for his high arch (muffin top) foot, and they fit great. They are truly extra wide which is what we needed. He cannot wait to put them on when we leave the house. These shoes are very durable and easy to clean. They are also easy to take on and off. However, we often find that our one year old can take them off himself quite easily versus lace ups. That is not a problem because they are easy to put back on for us. These seem to be super comfy (plush footbed with SRT). I would definitely order these again.

I have twin boys - one has a 2W and the other a W width...tit is VERY difficult to find a 2W shoe, even at Stride Rite. This style only came in W width so I just decided to try it and it fits perfect!

My son got his first pair of SRT shoes shortly after he started walking and we haven't looked back. He didn't want to take off that first pair and the same is true of these. He grew out of the first pair and they still look great, even after almost-daily use! Love that there's a few colors to choose from and really love the insole -- makes it so easy to see how he's growing and when it's time for a new pair. Easy on and easy off, yet they stay on through all his tumbling and tripping and running and whatnot. Will definitely stick with the SRT series as long as we can!

My 14 month old has been wearing these almost exclusively for 3 months and they are holding up really well. They're solid, well-made shoes for my little runner. I have looked into other shoes for him, but Stride Rite seem to be the best quality and the most comfortable fit.

Shoe did not withstand our 18-month-old baby

This is the very first time a shoe with Stride Rite did not hold up to our child. Perhaps, it's just that our baby plays harder and is more active than what our [now] 4-year-old used to play at this age. Who knows but I really loved the appearance of this shoe. It actually looks much better in person however I was disappointed that the craftsmanship of the shoe did not endure for my baby. I'm online now placing an order for a new pair of shoes now because both of these shoes became unthreaded around the toe area of each shoe (causing the shoe to appear as an open toe sandal). I have never experienced such an ordeal with shoes. I'm thinking to call Stride Rite to let them know and perhaps there's something they can do to help.

I bought these shoes for my then 18 mo old. We loved them. They were stylish, soft, and comfortable. But, after less than 2 mo. of normal wear, the sole at the toe started to come apart. First it was just some threads, then the whole rubber sole started to come off. My son is not rough on his shoes. We have been loyal Stride Rite shoppers for many years and this is the first time a pair of shoes did not last longer than it took for my kids to grow out of them. I contacted the company and was told I needed to ship the sneakers to them and have them looked at to verify that the shoes were defective. I decided against this because I knew that if the company replaced them, it was a short month or so before he would grow out of them anyway. It wasn't worth it!

My two year old son spotted this shoe in the bright green color the very second we walked into the store. I thought they were a little loud, but he was adamant that these were the ones he wanted. He wore them out of the store. Once he had them on, they really looked cute and stylish! We get tons of compliments wherever we go, since he wears them EVERYWHERE! I know they are really comfortable for him too. I'm so glad he picked them out. They were an excellent choice for us!

My 18 month old looks adorable in these shoes and we have received many compliments. They appear to be super comfortable and flex really well with his foot. He is a wide and they are not too big and bulky like I have seen other wide sized shoes. The velcro strap is a little long but is not noticable. I was happy that they carried this shoe in brown online since only blue was available in the stores.
