I bought these for my daughter and was instantly impressed by the quality of the leather and design. My only dislike is the length of the fastening strap is too short for my daughter. She has chubby feet so the straps are barely long enough to fit correctly. The Velcro is exposed due to the short strap and it sticks to everything. She has had other stride rites made like these and the straps were plenty long for her feet. I think it is just this particular style. I am happy over all! She loves these shoes!

My Second Time Purchasing The Same Shoe!

I purchased these when my daughter first started walking. I wanted her to have a sturdy pair of shoes with a good gripping sole to prevent from slip and falls. These were and are perfect. When she out grew the first pair, I purchased the same ones again because I was so impressed with them. They can be casual and/or dressy. The neutral color is versatile and easily matched with most of my daughters clothes. I read a lot of negative comments on them scuffing easily. We encountered normal wear and tear. With the first pair the toes of the shoes would get a little scuffed because my daughter was still crawling. This would happen with any shoe if it is being dragged across the floor.

Cute but poor quality

These shoes are super cute but scuff with minimal activity. We only got one wear out of them and they were ruined. Customer service was excellent and they sent me a new pair, but they are not worth the money and up to par with other Stride Rite shoes.

My GreatNiece look adorable in this shoe. Yes,it is costly but can you put a price on your childs fit and comfort. I have purchased nothing but Stride Rites for her. Her mother wore them as a child and so will her daughter.

Bought these for my 2 year old granddaughter. She wore then once to daycare. They look like they are ready for the trash. Have always been happy with Stride Rite in the past. These do not meet their standards.

Scuffed leather on toes off shoe within 3 wears

I have been purchasing Stride Rite shoes for my daughter (16 months) since she first began to walk. This is the first pair that has not stood up to her play. She is not a rough player, but she managed to scuff both toes so bad that the leather was worn completely off the shoes at the toes. She only wore them 3 times for this to happen.

Very comfortable shoe for child with high instep (must order wide). The shoes transition from casual to semi-dressy very well. She loves the little flower and jewel. I like the coppery finish - nice touch. Would love more of the styles to be offered in wide.

So far I am happy with this purchase. The quality is high and the design is cute. My only complaint is the black sole shows all the way around so the shoes look a little clunky from behind. They are well made though and my daughter seems comfortable in them. I will be keeping this purchase. Stride rite has the best baby shoes by far!

Versatile shoe

I bought these shoes for my 2 year old, and she has worn them with both jeans and leggings making them good for both casual and dressier occasions. She tends to run most places, so the shoe must be comfortable enough to handle that level of activity! My only complaint is that with typical wear, after only a week the toes of the shoes are already scuffed. That may have something to do with my daughter not being very graceful or light on her feet, but I would like for them to last a while! Overall, a cute and comfortable shoe!

I purchased this shoe for my 1 year old (22 months) daughter. She measured at an exact 6-1/2W so I purchased her the 7W in this shoe and it fits great. She has growing room in the shoe without it being too big. She has worn this shoe with leggings and with her church dress. This shoe is very cute and can be worn dressy or casual. The way my daughter runs in this shoe from 'Point A' to Point B' and back again, my guess is that she likes the shoe too and thinks it is very comfortable and flexible!!
