I bought these for my little grandsons, and they just love them. The fit is perfect, and they couldn't wait to wear them to preschool. They wanted to sleep in them, so I guess they're a hit.

front toe area breaks off too fast

I bought these shoes few months ago in 2 sizes, the right one and one larger for late month. My son LOVED these shoes because he loves cars so much. However the first pair broke withing two weeks at the toe. I called the store and they replaced it. The second pair broke of lets say in less than a month. I changed to the Spiderman shoes that lasted all these months. Now he is at a size bigger than last year and I was happy to give him a new pair of cars again. They broke within a week. The shoes look so new and the front it is open and the toes are exposed. Usually I do not like to give bad reviews, but as much as I loved the design of these shoes none of the three pairs lasted more than a month.

Super cute, but lower quality than other styles

I bought these for my firetruck obsessed 2.5 year old and they are adorable! However after about 2 months of wear the velcro straps started coming undone all the time and the stitching in both toes came out. I had the similar car light up shoes and the same thing happened. I've concluded that the light-up stride rites have lesser quality materials and construction than the regular ones, despite the higher price tags. If you don't mind replacing shoes every two months (and assuming you receive ones with working lights, 2 out of the 3 light up SR I've bough recently had at least one broken light out of the box) they're cute shoes and I love that they come in wide sizes. But I'm sticking to no light stride rites from now on.

My Grandson needs a wide shoe and these are perfect. He was very excited when he saw them and loves the lights. He's 20 months old and he really likes fire trucks and all kinds of trucks so these are great.

My son loves fire trucks, Daddy is a firefighter. He has been wearing the same pair since spring of 2012 and it is now Jan 2013 and there is nothing wrong with them at all and we have not had any problems with them at all, he wears them daily! We are actually going to get back to the store to get him measured and get another pair for him before they stop selling them.

We bought my son these shoes back in the spring because he LOVES firetrucks. He has loved them and wears them all the time! He shows them off to everyone. The lights still work after several months of constant wear and we have had no problems with the stitching or the velcro. We are thinking about buying him another pair because he has almost outgrown the pair he has now. These shoes have held up through almost nine months of toddler wear. That's pretty darn good in my book! :)

I got these just last weekend (11/25) for my soon to be three year old Son. He LOVES anything and everything Fire Trucks. I ONLY buy Stride Rite shoes, and when I saw these I knew they would be perfect. Some of the other reviews said the lights stopped working within a few Months, so I can't comment on that, but so far he loves them, and shows EVERYONE how they light up! Great Buy, especially using the BOGO sale!

I bought the race car version of the Vroomz series yesterday. And TODAY the lights on the right foot will not turn off. They are on constantly. Not only annoying but it obviously means that the light will burn out soon. I am am usually a big fan of Stride Rite shoes, but this pair was very disappointing. I am not sure if I will be able to take them back because I live too far away from the store.

I agree with another review that for what you pay for these shoes they were very poor quality!!! The velcro would hardly ever keep the shoe fastened and the tongue on the shoe came apart. They are very cute looking, but I would not recommend these shoes at all.

I have bought many pairs of Stride Rite shoes and have been very happy. They are usually worth the extra money they cost. I bought these for my son and not even 2 months latter the stiching had come apart. I was so disappointed. $50 on a pair of toddler sneaker that did not even last the summer!
