Daughter likes the style, but they aren't great

My daughter has a wide foot and high instep. After trying a series of Stride Rite sneakers for back to school, we ended up with these in both colors. She loved the sparkle and style. She commented that they didn't fit as good as her "old ones" (Stride Rite) and didn't have "as much cushiony" as her "old ones". I did not feel they had the same amount of support as say, the Slingshots did. They did however, not rub or pinch like the other styles did. Within a month of wearing approx 3 times per week, they looked worn and dirty. I washed them, they looked better but the silver/pink area lost most of the sparkle. The have held up overall, but do look like dirty playground sneakers all the time now, even if we clean them up. I'm a little disappointed in the product lines this year. Thankfully I purchased them on a promo sale - I would be more disappointed if they were full price.

Shoe is great for my daughter, she's worn everyday for the past 2 months. She doesn't want to wear anything else! She has slightly wide feet, (13W) is picky about style and fit and doesn't like shoes to rub in the slightest bit (so break in phase is not an option for us, they have to fit from the start). The wide fits her nicely. I know others have posted reviews on quality, for us, the shoe has held up great. They are dirty as heck, but still going strong!

The shoes are cute and my girls love the light up part. However, they are falling apart after only two weeks!!! The pink part of the sole on the front of the shoe is already coming undone. I expect this from other shoe companies, but not Stride Rite. I had to order these online because they don't carry the sizes I needed at the store and I am really disappointed in the quality of this shoe!

The shoes look very cute & durable. My daughter loves the color & lights. She only wore them once on the firs day of school. I can't get her to wear them again, she said they hurt her feet.

What is happening with Stride Rite Shoes?

I have always ordered Stride Rite shoes for my kids, but lately every pair I have ordered for my daughter has been too narrow. My daughter can wear a 12.5 M in Skechers quite comfortably, so I ordered the 13W in these based on my past few experiences. Unfortunately, AGAIN they are WAY too narrow! Since she loves Stride Rite light up shoes, I am going to try one more time by ordering another style in a 1.5W. If that doesn't work, I will never order another pair of Stride Rite shoes again. I am spending a fortune on shipping sending them back and forth, and for $50 shoes, it's just not worth it! They need to understand that if you are going to order shoes on-line you need to have some confidence and consistency in the sizing. I am VERY disappointed.
