The shoe doesn't look too bad, just stiff. it is so wide that my 7 year old can faten the straps and walk right out of the medium width. he has a regular size three foot. nothing difficult for him. this shoe is just too wide.

We bought this for my son who usually wears a wide shoe, he also has a high instep/a "thick" foot. This shoe is a wonderful style and the width on the sole is fine, but the upper part where the velcro closes was narrow and my son couldn't get the strap closed. Which is really too bad, since this shoe would've matched just about everything from school, to play, to church.
Bottom line, if your child has wide feet make sure the top of their feet are pretty thin and narrow.
