Both shoes not working

I bought a toddler pair and a kid pair and the kid pair was defective. My son was not happy that both of his shoes did not light up. Now I have to order another pair and he has to wait while his younger brother gets to wear his new shoes. Not happy about this at all. Good thing the toddler pair is good.

Only 3 mos old and they look beat up

My son loves these shoes and they light up. We've only had these for 3 mos now and the stitch in the front is coming apart and they look like they are over a year old. This is the 2nd pair of shoes from Stride Rite in the past few years that have done this. We've worn SR shoes since my son was a baby and he is 8 now. I feel like the quality of some of the shoes just isn't up to par which is unfortunate, considering the shoes are $50 a pair. He's not athletic or hard on his shoes.

My !st grader loves these shoes, easy to put on and the leather has held up well. We've had them for over a year and even though they're a little rough around the edges, from normal wear and tear, they are still comfy.
