We are on our second (or maybe third) set of these shoes for my twin boys. The style is so versatile, they can wear them to school, church, or to play. The boys love the comfort and convenience of no laces (me, too). They have worn like iron. I highly recommend!

The Color Shown is Not Correct!

In the picture these shoes look like a light tan color. I just received a pair for my son and they are medium brown, which is much darker than shown!!! Just FYI!

I had just visited my local Stride Rite Outlet store as my 5 yo son had outgrown his shoes. I had his foot measured (1W) but they didn't have too many shoes that he liked in that size. I ordered the Derek shoe and he loves them. They are comfortable and nicer looking than your standard tennis shoe.

These shoes are very sturdy and can do "double duty" for school (think sandy playground") and church. They have a very nice tread. I measured using the printable sizing chart and went up one size (just because we were so close); the shoes fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I was very impressed with how quickly my order arrived and the prices were great. For some reason there are not many options for boys' shoes in our areas (even at big box stores); I think Stride Rite has become my new "favorite" on-line store!
