These are a really nice soft leather and look just like daddy's with the advantage of the hook and loop Velcro. If this is your first time buying any Sperry shoe, they run a bit on the narrow side. Sometimes they fit small, but my son has a narrow foot so I seem to always do well true to size. I love the color for fall and am very happy with the quality of these and every other Sperry shoe I have bought our son. He is two and this is our 7th pair of Sperry shoes...Not because they got worn out, just outgrown. We have been buying them since size 3. I love the way they match anything and we always get compliments on them! They don't typically go on sale anywhere else so when stride rite has their sale, snap them up!
