Since we got them, she will not leave them alone. She says the shoes make her feel "fancy, like you Mama when you go to work!"

To Grown for Our Girls!

PostedJanuary 21, 2013
What age(s) are your children? 5
Stride Rite shoes are a brand that, in the past, I would stand by. As my child has gotten older I have lost hope for this once tried and trusted brand. This shoe is too grown for my 5 year old child! The styles in this store have become too trendy for parents who are not trying to grow their girls up too quickly. My daughter should not have to wear this type of shoe before she is 9 years old. A good dress shoe has been amazingly hard to find these days. Thus I had to return the shoe, although I am still desperate to find a good, supportive dress shoe.
I will continue to support Stride Rite as much as I can because I still believe in this brand. But, I am sorely disappointed that in some aspects this brand has jumped on the bandwagon of making our girls too grown. Let's get back to the basics! That is why we loved Stride Rite in the first place. I wore this brand in the late 70's and 80's until my foot outgrew the available sizes. I want my daughter to continue to wear this brand too!
