Disappointed

We have had our 18 month old son in Stride Rite shoes since he started wearing shoes. The are the first pair I have been disappointed in. They seem very comfortable, and we love the style. However, one of the red and white tabs that hold the "laces" started fraying the first day he wore them. He has now been in them a few weeks and three of the tabs are almost frayed all the way through. I now need to purchase new shoes less than a month after I bought these.

Best Shoes

My son loves these, these are the only pair of shoes that he does not try to pull off every time he gets in his car seat or the second he walks in the door. He can wear these all day. I went with the wide's eventhough my son doesn't have a really wide foot. The regular widths just seem to tight on his foot and i know his feet aren't that wide because he wears normal width vans also.

Lacking durability

Bought these for my 15 month old and loved them until the red/white tabs broke after 2 months of moderate wear. They look and feel great, but I expect more durability from StrideRite.

Great shoe!

I purchased the SRT Palmer for my son and they're great! I needed an extra wide, so the velcro fits great over his foot. They are also nice and flexible, so it's easy for him to walk in.

Happy Baby Feet!

I really cannot say how comfortable they are because my 18 month old doesn't have the words. We have a hard time finding shoes wide enough for my son which makes buying shoes a very frustrating experience. We are lucky that striderite.com has a selection for us to pick from (wish it was a bigger selection). Thank you for great shoes that actual fit! Great for babies with wide wide feet! Slips on like a glove!

Do Not Buy These Shoes

Although these shoes are cute, as far as durability goes I would rate them as a zero if I could. My two-year-old wore these for only 1 day and the elastic over the bridge of the shoe ripped apart completely. I know that boys play rough, but in now way should a shoe come apart after wearing them for less than 24 hours. I exchanged them for one of the "Made2Play" styles and so far, so good!

Exactly what I expected

I ordered these for my 10 month old son. He hasn't really worn them yet, as I try to keep him in just socks as much as possible. So I can't speak to the comfort or durability, but the shoes are really cute and look just like the picture on-line. I ordered them about a 1/2 size too big since he's not really wearing shoes right now, so we should get some good use out of them!

Hesitantly recommend this shoe

We had a similar shoe for several months before getting this one and had no problems. It held up great! I love the look, but the red/white tabs keep breaking. The first shoe we had broke in 2 weeks. The replacement broke in just days! Debating if I want to try for a third time. If only my son wasn't so attached to this shoe! He refuses to wear anything else.
