Perfect shoe for my 4 year old.

My son is quite a bit picky with his shoes. I have tried tie up and (one strap at the top) Velcro shoes. The Velcro shoes seem to have been working well only lasting approximately 2 months. He would pull them too tight every day stretching the strap where it would no longer overlap and not be tight enough for my son. He has to have his shoes Very tight for some reason. The only exception until now has been his rain boots. He absolutely loves these shoes. I am so excited we don't have a "battle" every morning because one shoe is tighter than the other or the shoe strings don't "lay" right. I am so very satisfied with this shoe because my son is happy. My son says they are comfortable and can put his own shoes on without having help. Thanks Stride Rite!

This was a really cute shoe; however, the size I ordered didn't fit my grandson so I had to take them back. He ended up with some light up spiderman shoes which he loves. I would recommend the shoe because it was cute and appeared well constructed and sturdy; not like the theme shoes you pick up at other stores. It had a nice thick sole and cushion inside. Besides, I haven't bought a shoe from Stride Rite that I haven't liked.

Great for Spiderman fans

The shoes were stiff when they first arrived but loosed up after a few wears. I think the shoes run about 1/2 size small. At the Stride Rite store a clerk measured my son's foot and I was told he was a size 8 1/2 but if I wanted to give him room to grow to get a size 9. I ordered a size 9 1/2 in this shoe and it was just right; he doesn't have much room to grow. There also isn't much arch support.
