I purchased these shoes for my 2-year-old and she loves them. The high back provides sufficient support for her heels, which is important to me since she is all over the place now. The only downside I have found is the narrowed portion towards the front of the foot. For my daughter who has a wide foot to begin with, I have to take the shoes off after a little while to make sure the top of her foot does not swell. The design itself is very nice and durable. I would recommend this product to most parents.

I bought the Kathryn and Kalla shoes at the same time as this one (daughter's montessori requires we leave one pair of shoes at the school full time). These are her absolute favorite. They work out well for the school because they stay inside (it's too cold to wear these regularly outside). Her teachers love them because she can put them on and off fairly easily. I do prefer a more typical gym shoe (not a Mary Jane style, personally) because I feel like it provides more protection/support for the top of the foot, but DD absolutely loves these.
