Shoes look great and comfortable but the front part of the shoe started falling apart a couple of months after my son started wearing them.

Love This Shoe

I have bought 5 pairs of these so far for my two sons and love them. They get into puddles and even play in the sprinklers at the park and I have never had a pair fall apart. For the lady who is complaining that Xavier aren't made for preschool kids I'm not sure who you asked about that but they do make them for preschool kids. Look in the toddler section - I buy them for my 4 year old.
Will absolutely buy these again, awesome style and ankle support.

This shoe ripped from the front and the Velcro is made of poor quality. DON'T BUY... And this is because my son doesn't even walk yet .

I had such difficulty finding a shoe that fit my son that didn't leave marks on his feet or the upper rear area of his ankles. I visited a third party store that sells stride rite & they fitted him in the brown Xavier in a wide. What a relief! He was running & playing beautifully. I always waterproof our shoes so our feet don't get wet & the shoes don't get nasty, smell, get damaged, etc. & it works out very well. I highly recommend this shoe for a little guy who has wide feet and/or high arches. I've inquired several times about stride rite making the Xavier in preschool sizes. Unfortunately, it only goes to a size 8.

My four year old son wears these just to preschool and then we take them off when we get home. We have had them since September 2012. The front part of the shoe came apart and water and sand get stuck in his shoe. I am disappointed as I paid more than I normally would for a shoe and it did not last for long.
